Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to ensure that our Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Clinical Programs consistently adheres to regulations, standards, and best practices set forward by the federal government. The Compliance Manager will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating our program's operations, procedures, and performance to ensure compliance with federal regulations and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including those specific to healthcare services and staffing within the VA.
  • Stay current with changes in laws and regulations, interpreting their implications for the project and implementing necessary changes in processes and procedures.
Contractual Adherence:
  • Monitor adherence to all contractual requirements, including service delivery standards, reporting obligations, and other stipulations outlined in the VA contract vehicle.
  • Collaborate with the PMO and other departments to ensure seamless integration of compliance requirements into daily operations.
Credentialing Management:
  • Oversee the credentialing process for healthcare professionals, ensuring all staff meet the VA's stringent qualification and credentialing standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of staff credentials, certifications, and other essential documentation.
Payroll and DCAA Compliance:
  • Ensure payroll processes are in strict compliance with DCAA guidelines, federal labor laws, and VA-specific requirements.
  • Implement and oversee timekeeping systems and procedures that meet DCAA standards, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all staff.
Risk Management and Audits:
  • Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and inspectors during audits, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure successful outcomes.
Training and Development:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate staff on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and integrity across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, law, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of compliance or regulatory experience, preferably within the healthcare sector.
  • Familiarity with Veterans Affairs and Defense Health Agency operations, regulations, and standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of relevant software, including compliance management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and senior management.
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or equivalent certification is a plus.
